L’ensemble Akn a pour vocation de raviver et de développer l’interprétation traditionnelle du chant liturgique arménien. Les représentations de l’ensemble reflètent le travail développé sous la direction d’Aram Kerovpyan depuis 1990, qui a abouti à la création du Centre d’études du chant liturgique arménien, fondé en janvier 1998 à Paris.
